Equipment Repair Technician

Job overview

The Equipment Repair Technician works onsite in Simpsonville, SC, in a shop environment. Compensation is $24.15–$31.50 per hour. Maddox provides electrical transformers to commercial and industrial customers. The technician reconditions dry-type and liquid-filled transformers, contributing to the team’s work rebuilding equipment for customers. The role includes evaluation, disassembly, repair, reassembly, testing, and quality-control activities.

What you'll do

• Evaluate, disassemble, recondition, and reassemble electrical transformers
• remove and replace accessories
• clean and repair parts
• replace gaskets and seals
• perform basic MIG welding and metal fabrication
• train in basic electrical testing, inventory evaluation, painting, and quality-control procedures.
