Data Engineer

The Data Engineer role is primarily onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, with two remote days per month after the initial ramp period; compensation is not specified. The role supports Jennmar’s business intelligence reporting and analytics environment. The engineer builds and maintains reliable data pipelines and warehouse structures so the BI team can use accurate, timely, well-organized data for Power BI reporting and analysis.

What you'll do

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
• load data from Ross, D365 Finance & Operations, and other systems into the data warehouse
• write and tune complex SQL
• monitor ETL jobs and resolve failures
• implement validation, error handling, and logging
• document data flows and transformations
• support warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling
• collaborate with the BI team on Power BI reporting.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience; five or more years in data engineering, ETL development, or a similar role; strong SQL and Oracle experience. WhereScape RED, TimeXtender, Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, Dataverse, D365 Finance & Operations, DBA, SSIS, and Power BI experience are preferred.
