The Life Sciences Leader role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with a stated hiring range of $183,200–$250,000 per year for work performed in San Francisco; hiring ranges outside San Francisco differ. The role supports Arup’s Science sector and West Coast growth. The leader develops the regional life sciences business while directing mechanical engineering design and delivery for laboratory, research and development, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing facility projects. The role combines client development, technical leadership, project oversight, and team mentorship to grow Arup’s West Coast presence and project pipeline.

What you'll do

• Develop and grow Arup's Life Sciences business across the West Coast
• align regional growth plans with business goals
• contribute to proposals and client relationships
• represent Arup at industry events
• lead mechanical engineering design for life sciences projects
• manage project planning, resourcing, schedules, budgets, and delivery
• serve as a technical client contact
• mentor project teams
• integrate sustainable design
• negotiate project contracts.
