The Manager, STEP Housing Program role is onsite in Chicago, IL; compensation is $58,000–$69,000 per year. The manager works with the Director of the Subsidized Tenant Empowerment Program to support housing services and compliance with HOPWA funding requirements. The role leads program operations and supervises five Housing Technicians serving a combined caseload of more than 275 clients. It supports housing stability by coordinating staff, leasing and payment processes, training, data quality, and compliance with applicable program requirements.

What you'll do

• Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate Housing Technicians
• support staff addressing client housing needs, landlord negotiations, leases, and payment issues
• develop training and technical assistance resources
• maintain client housing resource guides
• coordinate with the Rental Payment Processing team on leases and renewals
• monitor program income and budget
• maintain housing guidelines and standard operating procedures
• develop data quality standards
• support quality management plans
• maintain compliance with HUD and HOPWA regulations.
