Health Information Specialist II — Remote

What you'll do

• Manage Epic EMPI potential duplicate work queues
• prioritize admitted patients and patients with upcoming appointments
• review patient overlay queues
• verify demographic changes
• perform chart corrections
• coordinate medical record merges across systems
• monitor and update tickets
• assist with ticket rotation
• escalate issues to downstream system owners
• protect PHI and follow HIPAA and department procedures
• maintain accurate patient records.
