What you'll do

• Carry out medical orders
• assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, and other needs
• teach patients and families
• administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, hydration, growth factors, and other medications under physician supervision
• monitor and communicate test results and changes in patient status
• perform venipunctures, vascular-device care, and dressing changes
• conduct telephone triage
• document care
• support staff and other clinics as needed
• maintain safety, infection-control, and confidentiality standards
• mentor less experienced staff as needed.
