The Mechanic role is onsite in Rochester, NY, with pay starting at $25 per hour. Monroe Ambulance is a private EMS agency providing emergency medical services, patient transport, and community education. The role exists to repair and maintain company and customer vehicles and mechanical equipment in accordance with applicable transportation and health standards. It supports fleet readiness through diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, documentation, and road-service response.

What you'll do

• Observe equipment to identify failures
• document work, vehicle condition, parts needs, and scheduled work
• diagnose electrical and computer-control devices
• dismantle, inspect, repair, or replace parts
• test equipment
• perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles
• repair electrical equipment
• complete assigned fabrication work
• respond to road-service calls, including a rotating trip to Malone, NY every other month
• communicate vehicle service status
• road-test vehicles
• operate snow-removal equipment
• perform minor building and equipment maintenance.

Why this role
