Substitute Associate Teacher

The Substitute Associate Teacher role is onsite in Tracy, CA, with a flexible substitute schedule requiring availability at least two days per week. Pay is $17.08–$25.58 per hour. Catalyst Family provides programming for children across infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and school-age groups, depending on location. The associate teacher supports the care and education of an assigned group of children. Through age-appropriate activities, safe supervision, and supportive learning environments, the role contributes to children’s development and to the quality of Catalyst’s programs.

What you'll do

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning environments
• build culturally responsive relationships with children, families, schools, and communities
• supervise children and support health, safety, and positive interactions
• collaborate with classroom staff
• report safety issues or incidents
• support indoor and outdoor activities and supervise field trips as assigned.

Why this role

Requires 12–24 postsecondary semester units in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, or an Associate Teacher Permit or higher. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; the substitute schedule requires at least two days of availability weekly.
