What you'll do

• Prepare patients physically and mentally for procedures
• obtain medical history and verify consent
• administer pre-medication and perform point-of-care testing
• place IVs and monitor vital signs
• provide care during recovery from anesthesia
• assess patient status and report abnormalities
• administer medications as ordered
• document care
• develop patient-specific plans
• review post-procedure and discharge instructions
• assess fall precautions
• maintain supplies and support efficient case management.
