Development Intern – Events and Donor Engagement

The Development Intern – Events and Donor Engagement role is based in Richmond, VA, with flexible work-from-home options and regular in-person meetings with the Director. Compensation is $13–$15 per hour. The intern supports Child Evangelism Fellowship of Virginia’s ministry events and nonprofit operations. The intern assists with event planning and administration, donor and sponsor outreach, promotion, and event logistics. The position provides practical experience in event management, marketing, public relations, and nonprofit ministry work.

What you'll do

• Assist with event administration, mailings, ticketing, timelines, and expense tracking
• maintain event data and use event software to track ROI/ROE
• contact sponsors, donors, and volunteers
• support donor care
• coordinate with church volunteers and ministry partners
• help promote events
• assist with fundraising and on-site event operations as needed.
