The Experienced Ophthalmic Surgery Technician role is onsite in Plano, TX, in a hybrid clinic-surgery setting. Compensation is not specified. ClearSight Center's ophthalmic team supports vision procedures including cataract surgery, lens replacement, and laser vision correction. The technician supports safe, efficient surgical operations and patient care by preparing rooms and equipment, assisting surgeons, supporting patients before and after procedures, and coordinating with the surgical team. The position is full-time, five days a week, 40 hours per week, and includes an on-call rotation; possible future rotating Saturdays are noted.

What you'll do

• Prepare surgical rooms and sterile fields, set up instruments and equipment, and assist surgeons
• provide pre- and post-operative patient support
• clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
• review charts, confirm clearances, and calculate treatments
• follow surgical protocols and safety requirements
• communicate with team members, surgeons, providers, and administration
• support time-sensitive situations and surgical workflow. Prior surgical technician experience is required
• high school diploma or equivalent required
• surgical tech certification preferred
• maintain CPR and required OSHA and HIPAA certifications
• travel to other locations for training or meetings as required.
