The role also supports patient education, accurate treatment documentation, and quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Provide chronic hemodialysis therapy according to the plan of care
• formulate dialysis plans and initiate treatment through various accesses
• monitor vital signs and patient status
• administer ordered medications and treatments
• assess vascular access and review laboratory work
• prepare and monitor dialysis machines and water treatment systems
• document patient records and treatment
• educate patients
• report changes and equipment malfunctions
• participate in quality improvement and required training.
