Life Skills Coach

The Life Skills Coach is a community-based, onsite role in Harker Heights, TX. Pay is $22 per hour. The position provides individualized functional support to people with brain injuries or other neurological conditions. The coach helps clients acquire, retain, and improve skills for independent living and community access. Through practical guidance, advocacy, and training, the role supports clients’ personal goals, social participation, and continued independence.

What you'll do

• Advocate for clients and support informed choices
• assist with household management and safe routines
• support recreation and community participation
• provide transportation and help clients access community resources
• assist with mobility and adaptive aids
• develop communication and social skills
• identify barriers and changes in functional status
• complete progress notes and other documentation
• participate in training and team meetings.
