Job overview

The Mining Engineer (Engineer II) is an onsite position based in Mercury, NV, with an annual salary range of $83,075.20 to $124,612.80. This role supports the PULSE facility at the Nevada National Security Site. This role exists to provide systems engineering support for underground facility operations. The engineer ensures the readiness of mine structures, ventilation, and mobile equipment used in subcritical experiments.

What you'll do

  • Maintain cognizance of facility systems, including tunnels, shafts, and ventilation.
  • Validate physical configuration and maintain system documents.
  • Conduct inspections and technical surveillance.
  • Perform design and technical analysis activities using prescribed codes and standards.

What we're looking for

Education
Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited engineering program or Calculus-based STEM degree
