Working with the dredge operator and crew, the deckhand helps maintain safe, efficient vessel operations and keeps the deck and work areas organized.

What you'll do

• Assist with operation and maintenance of dredging equipment
• inspect and maintain deck machinery and tools
• monitor and record dredging data, including depth and sediment types
• handle and secure ropes, lines, and equipment
• maintain clean and organized work areas
• follow safety procedures and participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
• assist with loading and unloading vessel materials.
