Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Job overview

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Monroeville, PA, in licensed residential homes. Pay is $16–$18 per hour. A Helping Home supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living safe, meaningful lives at home and in their communities. The DSP provides person-centered daily support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and community inclusion. The role contributes to residents’ goals through personal care, health and safety support, documentation, household assistance, and community participation.

What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living, personal care, meals, and household tasks
• support Individual Support Plan goals, communication, socialization, and community activities
• assist with medication administration according to training and policy
• monitor and report health or behavior changes
• document services and incidents
• maintain confidentiality
• support household tasks and transport individuals to appointments and outings.
