Universal Shop Machinist

The Universal Shop Machinist role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI. Pay is $22–$26 per hour. JEL Manufacturing’s shop role supports fabrication operations by preparing, processing, receiving, and organizing materials for production. The machinist helps ensure materials and parts are accurately cut, machined, inspected, documented, and staged for fabrication. The role contributes to safe, organized shop operations and reliable material availability for production teams.

What you'll do

• Operate material-cutting equipment
• read shop drawings, cut lists, work orders, and specifications
• measure and cut materials to dimensions
• perform basic machining such as drilling, tapping, grinding, deburring, and cutting
• use precision measuring tools and inspect completed work
• receive and inspect incoming materials
• record receipts in the ERP system
• tag, store, and stage materials
• maintain inventory records and safe, organized work areas.
