- Provide ongoing assessment and care of the mother through the antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
- Provide ongoing assessment and care of the mother and newborn.
- Provide education from antenatal to immediate postpartum period.
- Orchestrate and initiate discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality initiatives.
- Maintain clinical practice in accordance with established guidelines.
