Production Shop Lead

The Production Shop Lead role is onsite in Kansas City, MO. Pay is $35–$40 per hour. Omaha Track supplies products and services to the railroad industry and designs, builds, and supports equipment used in continuous welded rail production and railroad maintenance. The Shop Lead guides the shop team in meeting production goals while assembling, fabricating, repairing, and servicing railroad equipment. The role coordinates with engineering and management, checks finished work, and promotes safe, orderly shop operations.

What you'll do

• Lead and work alongside the shop team to meet production goals
• communicate with engineering and management about equipment specifications
• assemble machines and mechanical components
• route electrical conduit and wire
• interpret blueprints
• perform quality checks
• maintain project paperwork and checklists
• maintain the production area and machinery using 5S procedures
• lead daily safety briefings.
