Job overview

The Water Distribution Pump Station Technician role is onsite in Ashland, KY, with compensation of $28.35–$43.67 per hour. The position reports to the Water Distribution Superintendent and supports the City of Ashland’s water distribution operations. The technician maintains pump station operations, supports water sampling, and performs electrical work at city facilities. These duties help maintain the operation of the water distribution system and other city locations.

What you'll do

• Maintain pump stations
• replace pump and electric motors
• troubleshoot and perform electrical wiring
• oversee daily water samples at various locations
• mow grass at pump stations and water towers
• perform electrical work at other city buildings and locations
• complete related duties as assigned.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, considerable experience, and a valid driver’s license. Requires a State Master Electrician License or Class III Water Distribution Operator License; must obtain and maintain a Class IV Water Distribution Operator License when eligible. Must be available for irregular hours and emergency calls at all hours.
