Strings Music Instructor — Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass

The Strings Music Instructor is an onsite, part-time role at Bach to Rock in Lincoln, NE. Compensation is $18–$26 per hour. Bach to Rock provides music education to students of all ages through lessons and performance opportunities. The instructor uses the Bach to Rock curriculum to teach string technique, theory, and performance skills. Lessons help students build musicianship and confidence, while the instructor may also assist with school performances and events; additional teaching programs may be available depending on experience and interest.

What you'll do

• Teach private and semi-private lessons primarily in violin, viola, cello, and/or bass using the Bach to Rock curriculum and arrangements
• create an encouraging and focused lesson atmosphere
• develop students' technique, musicianship, confidence, and performance skills
• assess readiness for group programs
• assist at school performances and events. Additional instruments, group classes, camps, parties, ensembles, and other programs may be available depending on experience and interest. Instrument repair or maintenance may be performed as needed and as able.
