Auto Body Technician

The Auto Body Technician role is an onsite position located in Smyrna, TN, with compensation ranging from $24 to $29 per hour. This role supports the collision and glass services team at Gerber Collision & Glass, contributing to the company's mission of providing elite infrastructure and customer excellence. The role exists to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition through meticulous assessment and quality repair. The technician is responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles, ensuring all work meets company KPIs and quality standards while serving as a dedicated brand ambassador.

What you'll do

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins.
• Realign car chassis and frames.
• Remove and replace damaged sections and parts.
• Weld and attach parts.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles after repair.
