The Cook position is onsite in Littleton, CO, with compensation of $23 per hour. The role supports the facility food service operation of GEO Reentry Services, which provides correctional and community reentry services. Under general supervision, the Cook prepares large quantities of food according to the operational menu plan, maintains production records, and supports safe, sanitary food service. The role also includes coordinating food service staff training and inspections, supply preparation, and inventory tasks.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to the facility operational menu plan and scale recipes to the facility population
• maintain production records
• direct, train, and inspect work performed by detainee food service staff
• conduct orientation and training for staff employees
• schedule preparation and assure food and supply quality
• place assigned orders, check deliveries, and take inventory
• maintain sanitation and safety practices
• assist management with client relations.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of food preparation experience in a commercial, military, or institutional setting are required. Food service preparation and cooking training is preferred.
