The Registered Nurse (RN) — Endoscopy role is onsite in Clive, Iowa, with Monday, Thursday, and Friday shifts of either 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Compensation is not specified. Iowa Digestive Disease Center and Iowa Endoscopy Center serve the community’s digestive health needs; the endoscopy center is recognized by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and accredited by AAAHC. The nurse provides care before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures. The role supports patient comfort, safety, education, and coordinated procedural care while following infection-control and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Assess patients, review medical histories, start IVs, and prepare patients for procedures
• explain procedure expectations, preparation, and aftercare
• assist physicians during colonoscopies, EGDs, and other GI procedures
• monitor sedation, vital signs, and patient safety
• monitor recovery and assess for complications
• provide discharge education
• prepare and maintain equipment and procedure rooms
• follow infection-control and scope-reprocessing protocols
• document patient and procedure information
• collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.

Why this role
