Personal Care Attendant

Job overview

The Personal Care Attendant role is onsite in clients’ homes and communities in Middlebury, VT, with pay of $26 per hour. Live Well Home Care provides in-home support to people who need assistance with self-care due to age, sickness, disability, or other conditions. The attendant follows each client’s written care plan to support daily living, safety, and independence. Services may include personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, companionship, respite, and assistance with errands or transportation, delivered in a caring and respectful manner.

What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, positioning, toileting, and transfers
• supervise the home environment for client safety
• assist with meal planning, preparation, housekeeping, and laundry
• provide companionship and respite care according to care plans
• assist with shopping and errands
• escort clients to appointments and outings as specified in care plans
• communicate observations and unsafe conditions to the care team or Branch Manager
• follow written care plans and agency policies.
