The Machine Operator I — 1st Shift position is onsite in Jackson, TN, with base pay of $16.25–$18.25 per hour. The stated hours are 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Cornerstone Building Brands manufactures exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings. The operator sets up and runs machinery to produce quality building-product parts safely and efficiently. The role contributes to production by processing parts to specifications, inspecting output, maintaining equipment, and supporting continuous improvement and waste reduction.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate machinery to cut, punch, form, or paint parts
• operate computerized and material-handling equipment and CNC-controlled presses, lasers, and rolling mills
• perform routine preventive maintenance and adjustments
• mark and identify parts
• interpret blueprints and specifications
• inspect parts for defects
• use scanning equipment
• follow safety practices and production schedules
• suggest cost savings and productivity improvements
• work overtime as needed.
