Family Service Associate

Job overview

The Family Service Associate role is onsite at the CYC Centro Nuestro Center in Chicago, IL. Compensation is $40,000–$50,000 per year, commensurate with education, credentials, and experience. Chicago Youth Centers serves more than 3,000 children and families each year. The associate provides casework, counseling, and referrals to families in the child development program, helping families set goals and create Individualized Education Plans. The role also coordinates with program staff and community resources to address children’s and families’ needs.

What you'll do

• Promote and recruit eligible children for the Early Childhood Program
• prepare materials and conduct door-to-door canvassing under the Childcare Director
• interview parents to determine eligibility
• help families obtain and review children’s medical and dental records
• follow up on required care
• provide casework, counseling, and referrals
• coordinate disability services
• maintain case records and document home visits and conferences
• conduct home visits
• develop community resource lists and submit program reports.
