The Lead Counselor — Active Kids After School Program role is onsite in Franklin, MA. Pay is $16–$20 per hour. The position supports the Active Kids After School Program at The Adirondack Club. The Lead Counselor oversees an assigned group of children and helps provide a safe, structured, engaging program. By leading activities, supporting positive youth development, and guiding Assistant Counselors, the role contributes to participants’ well-being and daily program operations.

What you'll do

• Supervise children during recreation, fitness, enrichment, and homework activities
• plan and implement age-appropriate activities
• maintain a safe, clean, inclusive environment
• guide Assistant Counselors
• monitor attendance and transitions
• communicate with families and staff
• follow program and Massachusetts EEC policies
• report incidents and safety concerns.

Why this role

Typical program hours are 2:45 PM–6:00 PM; half-days and school breaks may include programming between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Full individual Adirondack Club membership is available when working at least five hours per week.
