The Director of Advancement role is onsite in Brownsville, TX. Compensation is $72,000–$82,000 per year. Proyecto Juan Diego is a nonprofit serving low-income families, especially Spanish-speaking families, through family, education, health care, immigration, and civic engagement services. Reporting to the Executive Director, the director leads fundraising, communications, marketing, and public relations efforts. The role builds donor and community relationships, develops resource strategies, and works toward annual fundraising goals that support the organization’s programs.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement an annual resource development plan
• lead fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation
• solicit or coordinate major gifts
• develop fundraising and marketing materials with organizational leaders
• research, implement, and measure marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies
• build relationships with community organizations, businesses, funders, faith communities, schools, and other institutions
• identify and write grant proposals
• achieve annual fundraising goals
• supervise the Marketing Coordinator.
