The Director of Nursing (DON) — Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care role is onsite in Rochester, NY. Compensation is $120,000–$130,000 per year. The DON reports to the nursing home administrator or executive director and leads nursing operations and resident-care programs. The role exists to provide clinical leadership, maintain regulatory readiness and resident safety, and develop nursing staff while overseeing care quality and facility-wide nursing operations.

What you'll do

• Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing operations and resident-care programs
• conduct clinical audits and oversee care plans and outcomes
• collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families
• ensure compliance with CMS and other regulations
• lead survey preparation and corrective actions
• chair the QAPI committee
• manage recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluations, and retention
• establish staffing schedules
• coach and mentor nursing staff.
