The Licensed Veterinary Technician role is onsite in James Island, SC, with a four-day work week and no nights or weekends. Compensation is $18–$28 per hour, depending on experience. The technician supports Saddleback Mobile Veterinary Services, a practice providing care for small and large animals in James Island and the greater Charleston area. The technician supports veterinarians with examinations, procedures, surgery, and recovery while helping deliver patient care and communicate with clients. The role contributes to the practice’s wellness, dermatology, sick-visit, medical-workup, and surgical services.

What you'll do

• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, and recovery
• safely handle and restrain small and large animals
• communicate with clients about lab work, radiographs, treatments, and procedures
• perform laboratory procedures and collect specimens
• administer IV, SubQ, and IM injections
• place IV catheters and provide wound care
• maintain medical records
• assist with medication dispensing
• follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
