What you'll do

• Supervise inmate movement and maintain control in assigned areas
• conduct security checks and searches
• verify inmate identity, location, and condition
• enter information and prepare reports
• assist with prisoner admission and release
• explain rules
• monitor inmate conditions and behavior
• apply progressive discipline
• respond to emergencies
• exchange information with coworkers and supervisors
• complete annual in-service training.
