Senior Precision Assembly Technician

The Senior Precision Assembly Technician role is onsite in Wilmington, MA. Compensation is $60–$80 per hour on W-2. The position works in Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room and laboratory environments and involves precision assembly of optical, mechanical, and electromechanical components. The technician assembles delicate hardware to tight tolerances, troubleshoots complex assembly issues, and works with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve methods, documentation, and manufacturability. This work supports accurate, traceable assembly and continuous improvement in development or research and development settings.

What you'll do

• Perform precision assembly of optical, mechanical, and electromechanical components
• work in Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room and laboratory environments
• assemble, bond, and handle miniature components to micron-level tolerances
• perform lapping to meet flatness, parallelism, and angular requirements
• handle sensitive optical hardware
• interpret manufacturing instructions, drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
• maintain component traceability
• troubleshoot assembly issues and help determine corrective actions
• partner with engineering teams to improve assembly methods, documentation, and manufacturability
• support continuous improvement to reduce errors, defects, scrap, and rework
• lift and transport items up to 32 pounds.
