The Controller strengthens accounting processes, financial controls, reporting, and financial oversight. The role leads finance operations, manages cash flow and liquidity, oversees budgets, audits, payroll, financial statements, grant reporting, and accounting records, and provides hands-on accounting support when needed.

What you'll do

• Lead finance staff and department operations
• develop policies, procedures, and budgets
• manage cash flow forecasts and liquidity
• ensure regulatory compliance
• audit books and records
• oversee payroll, budgets, financial statements, and fiscal reports
• review accounting documents and journal entries
• maintain grant and subsidiary accounting records
• coordinate with vendors and operating staff
• and provide hands-on accounting support during high-volume periods, close, audits, or staff absences.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and ten years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including nonprofit federal-grant experience and accounting staff supervision. Active CPA license is strongly preferred.
