The Level II Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) Technician role is onsite in the greater Baton Rouge, LA area. Compensation is not specified. Mistras Group provides nondestructive testing services; this position supports inspection work using phased-array techniques. The technician sets up and calibrates equipment, conducts tests, and interprets and documents results so inspection work is performed and reported accurately. The role also requires working with minimal supervision and following applicable codes, contractual documents, and safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Set up and calibrate equipment
• conduct phased-array nondestructive testing
• interpret, evaluate, and document results
• apply the scope and limitations of the certified method
• direct trainees and Level I personnel as needed
• follow applicable codes, standards, and contractual documents
• work with minimal supervision
• and identify and resolve problems.

Why this role
