The Radiologic Technologist / CT role is onsite in Machias, ME. Compensation is not specified. Down East Community Hospital’s Imaging Department provides diagnostic imaging services for patients. The technologist operates imaging equipment and prepares patients and examinations so radiologists can interpret diagnostic-quality images. The role also supports safe patient movement, department readiness, and quality improvement while providing weekend, holiday, and call coverage on a rotating basis as needed.

What you'll do

• Operate diagnostic x-ray, portable, digital fluoroscopic, C-arm, and CT equipment
• use computed radiography and teleradiography
• prepare contrast agents
• and assist the radiologist with fluoroscopy and special procedures. Prepare and instruct patients, provide assistance, transport patients safely, process images and records, and prepare examinations for interpretation. Maintain department cleanliness and equipment, report malfunctions and patient symptoms, perform clerical duties as needed, and rotate weekend, holiday, and call coverage as needed.
