The instructor follows the approved curriculum and promotes student achievement by preparing lessons, teaching math, reading, or high school diploma coursework, and assessing student progress. The role also mentors students, supports classroom behavior and study habits, and coordinates with counselors and other staff to address issues affecting training.

What you'll do

• Develop lesson plans and administer and correct tests
• adapt instructional resources for students with varied backgrounds and needs
• recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials
• motivate and counsel students
• coordinate with advisors, counselors, and staff
• record attendance and maintain student files
• mentor students and monitor behavior
• deliver course material using varied methods and media.
