Math Literacy Worker (High School) is an onsite role in Cambridge, MA. Compensation is $15 per hour. Young People’s Project supports near-peer math facilitators from the same community as their students to advance educational equity. The role develops and facilitates math workshops for middle-school students, with high-school teams planning, practicing, delivering, and debriefing lessons and activities. It contributes to students’ math learning through collaborative workshop preparation and facilitation.
What you'll do
- Complete 40 hours of training
- plan, prepare, practice, and debrief math workshops in teams
- facilitate math modules at an assigned middle school
- revise or create lesson plans, assign roles, collect materials, design activities, review training and math content, and participate fully.
