High School Social Science Tutor/Teacher

The High School Social Science Tutor/Teacher role is onsite in Cupertino, CA. Compensation is $40–$45 per hour. The teacher supports Novel Prep’s academic team and high school social science instruction. The role exists to deliver standards-aligned teaching that strengthens students’ subject knowledge, critical thinking, analytical skills, and communication. It adapts instruction and assessment to learners’ needs while contributing to a respectful, inclusive classroom.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver instruction across assigned social science courses
• create an inclusive classroom that encourages diverse perspectives and engagement
• adapt teaching strategies for English language learners and students with learning differences
• assess progress and provide timely feedback
• maintain a positive classroom environment
• collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary connections, curriculum alignment, and teaching practices.
