Senior Data Engineer — AWS and Snowflake (Hybrid)

The Senior Data Engineer works in a hybrid arrangement, onsite every other week for five days in Westlake, TX. Compensation is $70–$74 per hour on a W-2 basis. The role supports a client’s enterprise data platform needs through Eliassen Group’s technology consulting work. The engineer designs and scales data platforms for batch and real-time processing, translating business requirements into reliable data solutions. Snowflake warehousing, AWS pipelines, governance, observability, and cloud optimization contribute to platform performance and maintainability.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines
• architect Snowflake data warehousing
• build high-availability and fault-tolerant transformation pipelines
• develop streaming architectures
• collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams
• implement data quality, governance, and observability
• optimize cloud performance and cost
• evolve platform tooling and practices
• ingest data into AWS S3 and build ETL workflows to Snowflake
• develop Python AWS Lambda functions and manage IAM.
