Lead Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician

Job overview

The Lead Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician role is based in Charlotte, NC, with work at project sites throughout the United States and compensation of $45–$60 per hour plus per diem while traveling. Pearce provides technical maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for mission-critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure. The lead technician directs field crews and complex electrical and mechanical projects, supporting safe project execution, commissioning, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of battery storage and other critical infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Lead crews of 5–40 or more technicians
• supervise subcontractors and trades
• plan daily work and project execution
• manage customer expectations and field communications
• train and mentor technicians
• maintain safety practices
• manage multiple projects
• troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic equipment.
