The Registered Nurse (RN) Nursing Instructor — Lab and Clinical role is onsite in the Youngstown, OH area; candidates must reside within driving distance. Compensation is $35.00–$40.00 per hour. The instructor supports students in an online hybrid nursing program through local lab and clinical teaching. The instructor develops students’ clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making through demonstrations, supervised clinical experiences, and evaluation. The role connects course outcomes with clinical practice and works with clinical coordinators, facilities, and nursing students to support the Nursing Education Program.

What you'll do

• Provide clinical instruction and demonstrate nursing skills and procedures
• participate in new-student clinical-site orientations
• maintain working relationships with clinical agency staff
• coordinate with the clinical coordinator
• design teaching strategies and clinical experiences
• complete clinical documentation
• refer students for remedial lab activities as needed
• conduct post-conference debriefings
• review and correct assignments
• assign patients based on session outcomes
• evaluate student progress
• and model professional interactions.

Why this role

Part-time adjunct faculty role. Clinicals and labs take place on weekends—Friday, Saturday, or Sunday—and are 12-hour shifts. Requires an active, unencumbered RN license or privilege to practice and qualifying nursing education or experience, including a graduate nursing degree, a bachelor’s degree with graduate study enrollment within one year, or three years of direct-care nursing experience for part-faculty.
