The Sub-Investigator — Psychiatry/CNS Clinical Trials role is onsite and part-time in Dallas, TX. Pay is $60–$100 per hour. The position supports Empathx Clinical Research’s clinical trials across psychiatry/CNS studies and other therapeutic areas, with a focus on equitable access to complex trials. Working under the Principal Investigator’s direction, the Sub-Investigator provides medical oversight, evaluates participant eligibility and safety, performs protocol-required assessments, and documents study activity. These responsibilities help protect participants and ensure trials follow protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Conduct delegated clinical-trial tasks under the Principal Investigator
• provide medical oversight across concurrent studies
• assess eligibility and review medical and psychiatric history
• conduct and document informed consent
• evaluate and report adverse events
• review psychiatric safety assessments and escalate concerns
• perform physical examinations and protocol-required assessments
• review vital signs, ECGs, and laboratory results
• perform blood draws and other procedures within licensure and delegation
• document assessments and decisions
• review source documents and case report forms
• respond to data queries
• maintain regulatory documents
• participate in sponsor communications, monitoring, audits, and inspections
• travel to meetings or study activities as required.

Why this role

Requires current Texas licensure as a physician, nurse practitioner, or certified physician assistant; prior psychiatry/CNS and Phase I–IV clinical-trial experience are required. Schedule is 3–4 days per week, 20–24 hours total.
