The Superintendent role is onsite in Oxon Hill, MD. Compensation is $120,000 per year. The role supports Vertical Mechanical Group’s commercial mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical work. The role exists to lead field operations from project startup through closeout, coordinating crews, schedules, materials, and project partners. It contributes to safe, productive jobsites and high-quality installations while monitoring progress, costs, and workmanship and developing field team members.

What you'll do

• Oversee daily jobsite operations
• coordinate field crews, foremen, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
• develop schedules, sequencing, and manpower plans
• monitor productivity and milestones
• coordinate with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades
• promote safety policies and OSHA requirements
• conduct safety inspections
• ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards
• plan resources and deliveries
• track costs, invoices, and subcontractor activities
• complete project reports and records
• and coach field employees. Requires 5+ years supervising commercial construction projects
• commercial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or MEP experience is strongly preferred. OSHA 30 is preferred or the candidate may be willing to obtain it.
