The Dish Steward role is an onsite, full-time position in Clifton, NJ, paying $16–$17 per hour. The position supports Upper Montclair Country Club’s kitchen and culinary and banquet teams in maintaining clean, sanitary, and organized operations for members and guests. The Dish Steward keeps dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and ready for use, helping the kitchen operate safely and efficiently. The role also supports basic food preparation and kitchen and banquet setup and breakdown as needed.

What you'll do

• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial equipment
• maintain and organize dish room, kitchen, and food preparation areas
• store clean items
• remove trash and recycling
• sweep and mop floors and promptly clean spills
• assist with cleaning equipment, storage areas, coolers, and workstations
• maintain cleaning supplies
• assist with basic food preparation and kitchen or banquet setup and breakdown
• follow health, sanitation, and safety requirements.
