Job overview

The Chef role is onsite in Austin, TX, with a Tuesday-through-Saturday schedule and hours that may vary. Pay is $21 per hour. The position supports food production and service at The Carillon for Flik Hospitality Group. This role directs and coordinates kitchen and food-service associates while preparing quality meals and maintaining food safety, service, and production standards. It also supports efficient kitchen operations through inventory oversight, staff development, and menu and recipe work.

What you'll do

• Supervise, coordinate, and participate in food preparation, cooking, and service
• ensure food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards
• supervise hourly kitchen associates, including scheduling, training, and performance support
• prepare food to standardized recipes and service schedules
• maintain presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
• track food use and waste
• receive and inspect supplies
• maintain clean equipment and work areas
• help select and develop recipes and menus.
