Kennel Attendant — Dog Daycare and Boarding

Job overview

The Kennel Attendant role is onsite in Niles, IL. Pay is $15–$17 per hour. The Dog House of L.C. & L., Inc. provides daycare and boarding care for dogs. The attendant supports the safety and well-being of dogs while maintaining clean, organized spaces and assisting clients. Daily work includes supervising playgroups, monitoring behavior, following care instructions, and coordinating with the team.

What you'll do

• Supervise and safely manage dog playgroups
• monitor behavior and body language
• feed pets and administer medications as directed
• clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces
• perform health and wellness checks
• escort dogs to playgroups, suites, and grooming appointments
• provide customer service
• assist with bathing and other pet care services as needed
• greet clients, support check-in and check-out, answer calls and emails, and follow safety and cleaning protocols.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED required. Staff must be available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; possible shifts range from 6:00 AM–2:00 PM through 2:00 PM–9:00 PM. Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes and lift dogs up to 50 pounds.
