The teacher creates a nurturing classroom and leads developmentally appropriate activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence. Observation, positive guidance, and communication with families help support each child’s development and individual needs.

What you'll do

• Create a safe, warm, and nurturing classroom
• plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities
• support social-emotional growth through positive guidance
• observe children’s development and respond to individual needs and interests
• communicate professionally with families
• collaborate with teachers and leadership
• maintain an organized classroom
• follow center policies, health and safety procedures, and DCFS licensing requirements.
