DDA Rework Operator

Job overview

The DDA Rework Operator role is onsite in Harvey, IL, with pay of $20–$25 per hour. The position supports Chicago Magnesium Casting Company’s casting production and quality processes. Working under the supervision of an RT Level 2 or 3, the operator prepares and x-rays castings, performs rework, and helps identify defects before parts move to the next production phase. The role also supports welding preparation and communicates defect patterns to quality and inspection teams.

What you'll do

• Scan jobs in and out and report processed quantities
• follow safety practices and keep the work area clean
• inspect materials and build self-inspection into processing
• complete routing information
• sort and serialize parts
• x-ray parts using approved techniques and procedures
• remove casting debris when needed and prepare castings for welding
• review work instructions, inspection plans, weld maps, and blueprints
• report discrepancies
• communicate defect patterns and improvement suggestions
• verify and sign off on x-ray shots for trainees.
