The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) — PRN, Night Rotations role is onsite in Rapid City, SD. Compensation is not specified. The nurse will join Exceptional Healthcare’s founding team at a new community hospital planned to open in fall 2026, serving Rapid City and surrounding communities. The nurse provides emergency care, triages patients, assesses and reassesses conditions, and adjusts care in response to changes. The role coordinates with emergency physicians and other specialists, documents care, supports patient and family education, and helps maintain a safe treatment environment.

What you'll do

• Provide direct and indirect emergency patient care
• triage patients and assign categories
• assess and reassess patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations
• communicate changes to emergency physicians
• monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms
• administer medications
• document care
• educate patients and families
• maintain a safe environment and adequate supplies.

Why this role
